205 for 6 sets of 5 reps. It was fun and by fun I mean it was tough as heck but worth it. Sadly this is my last day on this program (wow not even 2 weeks yet I know) because the overall workload is way too much for me to handle.

Inb4 I’m a wimp. Actually in after because I have already admitted to it, but when things start to hurt its best to back off. I’m still pushing forward but I plan on lifting for life, so safety first.

Upping weight slowly keeps the ego in check. Last week I got 55s for an easy 4x12. This week I didn’t even get these 60s for a 4x8. 8,8,6,8.

You would think upping weight is for ego, but when your goal is raw strength, it’s actually humbling. Just 10 pounds ago, I was getting 4-6 more reps per set. Just means I need to work harder!

How to make bicep gains:
Monday: Curls
Tuesday: Curls
Wednesday: Curls
Thursday: Curls
Friday: Curls

Ha. Just kidding. You probably would make bicep gains that way but there’s no real need. I train biceps directly twice per week, and while mine aren’t big they are much further along than a couple years ago.

I do a lot of compound movements like rows and chin-ups that also can stimulate bicep growth, so a similar concept can be applied for anyone.

Dumbbell rows, pull ups, and barbell curls would be good enough stimulation to make noticeable bicep progress in my opinion.

Just make sure you enjoy your workouts and keep crushing it!
